A little bit about me

Good day to all. My name is Irene. I have been a nanny for five years, and being a mother myself, I have the unique advantage of what it takes to be a great nanny. I have gained excellent child care experience and personal skills from being a professional nanny, a qualified elementary school teacher for over twenty years, and of course being a mother. I am a hardworking, educated, English speaking team player, who is warm, kind, easygoing, loving, calm, self-motivating, nurturing,organized and resourceful. I am passionate about children and believe that they deserve the best. I am First Aid and CPR certified which indicates that I am very concerned about the safety and welfare of the kids in my care. That is why I always keep their environment safe, clean, prepare and feed them nutritious meals, and treat them with love, respect and dignity whenever I interact with them, either through tummy time, singing, reading, playing or communicating. These are some of the reasons that I am usually able to blend in and get along with the family I work with. I am an active person so the kids and I are always involved in recreational activities that require the outdoors. I am aware of children's learning and developmental milestones because my Bachelor of Education Degree dealt with Child Development and Child Psychology, so I am usually excited when I witness those milestones. On the whole, I am really passionate about children. I just love children and being in their company.
