Hello. My name is Iris and I am a nanny. My middle name is Lillian. I am 55 and I have been a nanny for over 30 years. I have two grown sons of my own. They are 9 years apart, so to keep them from being lonely, I always had someone else's child with me and mine. That's not how I actually started childcare though. My aunt had a childcare center and I started working in childcare when my 35 year old was 5. My youngest son is 26 and he graduated from William Patterson University a few years ago. He just passed his first test to become an Actuary. He now works for a special needs school here in Montclair. I am CPR and First aid certified and I used to be a lifeguard. I have some college and many credits for Early Childhood Education courses. I was just a live in with a family in Bloomfield. Then the grandmother came and stayed. She now has the job and the room. I am not really looking to be a live in again,but I will if the position requires me to. I live in Montclair and I can stay late and come early with short notice.I have worked in preschools,but I prefer being a nanny. I love working with children. To me, they are all precious jewels and I genuinely love them all. My Mom says that I have a good spirit that dogs and babies can see.
