A little bit about me

I have 7 years of teaching experience with 5 years at a local Spanish academy and 2 years of in-home instruction. I have taught as many as 12 children in a class-room setting and as few as 2 while providing private teacher services. I am a mother of two college aged daughters and due to the pandemic, I did not return to teach in a formal school environment and instead have focused on tutoring some of my former students. While doing so, I created a pod style learning environment consisting of 1st grade children from 3 families. The setting was a hybrid learning model with both virtual instruction in conjunction with the NEISD Dual Language program and individualized instruction.
After children returned to school I took on the role of nanny for 1.5 years caring for 2 children ages 12 months and 2 years. While doing so I Helped develop a weekly schedule to teach and assist in their growth. Organizing educational activities, playdates, field trips, and supervising their nutrition.
