You really have to have patience and a understanding personality with children they’re learning the way of life and need good examples and hopefully good role model for her/him
My experience with special needs children...
I have 2 autistic brothers 1 is high functioning and the other is low functioning i learned to be patient and adapt to their needs with ( Loud noises , explaining step by step , food and even tantrums) a little more info on the tantrums , my brother ( low functioning) will like to be hugged tightly or my hands tightly for reassurance and if ready we talk step by step what led him to that feeling of course it’s different for every kid but im very observant and will help in anyway possible ! :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
I used to baby sit a 4 year old girl i love drawing and painting she ended really getting into it i baby sat her until she was about 7 when she was 8 her mom invited me to her art gallery at her elementary school it’s one of my favorite memories with her .
