A little bit about me

I have 4 younger siblings aged 15, 13, 4, & 3. When my younger two siblings were just newborns I helped my mother care for them and I also cared for my younger siblings when they were also newborns so I have plenty of experience with caring for newborns and toddlers. I love children, so being able to help parents care for their children while they are out trying to keep a roof over their heads or simply want a night out away from the kids will be an exciting experience for me. My little brother (3 year old) also has autism and when we went virtual I helped with his virtual therapy sessions while my mom was at work so I know how important it is to be patient with autistic children and other children with a sort of special need.
Additionally, I am also a college student so I will definitely be able to help children with their school work when needed while also working on my school work to help them stay focused.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have official experience, however, my baby brother is autistic & when we went virtual due to COVID-19 I was a big help in helping with his therapy sessions so I know a little bit of the basics of how it is working with special needs children. I am also an undergrad psychology major so this could be a great “hands-on” experience in deciding if that is the route I would like to take in my career.
