I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and I am currently employed with an on call babysitting agency. I worked in a nursery at a gym for nearly a year and interacted with all age groups. I was a lead birthday party/parents' night out instructor for a year, so I'm great at creating a fun atmosphere, but I believe in prioritizing. I have worked in 2 daycares with children ages infant-12. Following my time in the daycare centers, I was a private nanny for a 7 year old girl for almost a year (that only ended because her grandmother moved to town and the parents could not afford a nanny after the father was laid off) and then a nanny for a 10 year old little boy with special needs. He had autism, cerebral palsy, and hydrocephalus. He also had extreme allergies the family was unaware of. Unfortunately, we learned about the allergies through reactions. In two instances, I was present for his reactions and had to administer his epi-pen. There were three other children in the family, but they were cared for by a second nanny. I have gotten out of the nanny business and am currently working as a copywriter at an agency, but I still like to pick up jobs from time to time.

I started babysitting at 13 for neighborhood families and at the same time I started working in my church nursery. In 2007 I started at, I was watching up to 13 kids at a time with ages ranging from infant to 13 years of age. I worked there for a year before I was offered my first nanny job. I was the summer nanny for a 10 year old boy. I worked Mon-Fri 7am-5pm. I took him and his friends to the pool daily if the weather permitted. We also went to the park, played baseball and tennis and anything else we thought of. Also once a week we would go to White Water once a week with his friends and their nanny. After the summer I became the nanny for a 14 years girl and a 14 year old boy. I would pick them up from school, help with homework, and took them to after school activities. I was with them for a year. Unfortunately the kids were off to high school this year so they didn't need a nanny anymore. I also have infant experience because a friend of mine recently had a baby and I have been watching him.

I was the designated babysitter in our large neighborhood from the age of 11 to 18 for between 5-8 families. I was a mother's helper turned part-time nanny for a family of 8 for about 7 years through college. I also was the room leader for the four year olds at a Camp for about 4 years. I was a nanny for just over 2 years for a family about 50 hours a week, who had two small children. The following year, I worked one to two days a week as a lead drop-off care teacher for 1-5 year olds (up to 5 at a time). I also cared for an infant that year 20-30 ours a week. Then, in August of 2009, I returned to a previous family that I was a nanny for and cared for their two children, as well as for my 1 year old, for roughly 30-35 hours a week. I was with that family for another full year, until I began teaching preschool for a year. I taught a Young Two's class, 3 days a week. I have taken the last year off since I had my second baby.

I am very down to earth and mature, i love running errands and helping around the house too. Anyways i cant sum up everything about me in this box but i tried to do my best. If you have any questions feel free to ask!. I will look forward to hearing from you soon! :) Take Care!

I spent my summers from age 10 to age 19 caring for my two younger brothers, as well as my nephew and niece. I changed their diapers, made their meals, and sang them to sleep. Since then, I have babysat my four nieces and nephews whenever needed. I also teach Sunday School at my church, which requires that I successfully keep a large group of children engaged in learning and craft activities, which I find very rewarding. I enjoy reading to children, teaching them their colors, numbers, alphabet, etc. If I am having difficulty getting a child to cooperate, I will find a way to make whatever task is needed of them fun and enjoyable. I give them compliments as well as a proper amount of independence (allowing the younger ones to feed or clothe themselves if it is desired, etc.) in order to build their self esteem. If I am uncertain of how to handle a situation, I will ensure I get the proper info on this from the parents before the situation turns into a problem.
