Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've been involved in child care for as long as I can remember. I supervised and entertained infants, toddlers, and young children during the second church service every Sunday for years. I also babysat for several neighbors while growing up. I've organized birthday, graduation, and slumber parties for children aged 1-8. I easily connect with children, and they tend to bond with me just as effortlessly

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love teaching children to read, count, and learn the ABC's, as well as instilling kindness, confidence, and manners. Drawing, coloring, crafting, painting, music, playing the piano, memory games, and sound learning are wonderful bonding activities. Being active, I also enjoy water activities like balloon fights, sprinkler games, water slides, swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Walks, hiking, camping, biking, fishing, ice skating, traveling, and dance-along sessions to soundtracks are activities that I've found children particularly love.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny is so much more than just overseeing children; it's a partnership built on trust, clear communication, and mutual respect. I deeply believe in the significance of transparent dialogue between parents and the nanny. This ensures we're aligned in our goals and that I can tailor my care to the unique needs and wishes of each family. Being a great listener is paramount. By attentively heeding parents' guidelines and the subtle cues of children, I can foster an environment of comfort and consistency. Time management and meticulous attention to instructions are crucial skills I uphold. Respecting boundaries is non-negotiable, forming the bedrock of our trust-based relationship. Moreover, I understand the essence of maintaining a tidy and organized household.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked directly for the owners of a carnival/pumpkin patch seasonally for a couple years. A class of autistic children visited for a field trip. Parents seemed overwhelmed with the kids and the couple who owned it had no patience for them. They were not allowing the kids to participate in most available rides/ activities. I offered to relieve the parents and took over supervising the 13 kids. At first they were a bit intense with biting and difficult to manage but by before long I was able to create a bond with the kids . They calmed down and I made a game out of following safety rules. They were listening to me well enough that I was able to then allow them to really start having fun. They got to go on huge inflatable slide, inflatable maze, pet the animals, pick out pumpkins, and a few even went on the swing ride. I had a blast with them and the parents were so grateful. Everyone has a good day including me. It was a very neat experience.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The excitement expression when I've shown a child how to do something and they successfully use their new skill on their own. The confidence and pride it gives them.
