Honestly I like to do whatever makes the kid happy. Some kids like spinning you in spiny chairs, some kids like throwing balls, watching tv, doing crafts, I’m happy with all of it!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part about caring for kids is that you have to make sure they’re happy while also being safe. Kids like to do things you may not like to do but especially with younger kids if you just brush them off it will ruin their day and make them feel unloved or uncared for. I think it’s important to show interest in things that make the child happy!
My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered at my schools with special needs kids through elementary (I know weird how young I was) and in high school I worked in special needs classes through my free periods and before school! At the daycare I worked at we had two special needs boys and I got good with helping them calm down or understand the situation. A lot of people get frustrated with kids who need extra help but I’m all for helping !
