"Jamira's been with us for almost two years now, and she's been a total blessing! She's amazing with the kids, always finding fun ways to help them learn and grow. And get this she's not just about the kiddos. Jamira's always lending a hand around the house and doesn't mind getting dinner ready for the little ones if we're running late. Seriously, she's become like family to us!"

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Over the past three years, I've gained extensive paid experience in childcare, working in summer camps and afterschool programs, as well as helping out family and friends. At summer camps, I supervised and engaged children in activities that promoted their social, emotional, and physical development. I developed and implemented daily schedules, balancing educational activities with free play, and built strong, trusting relationships with the children through hands-on participation in arts and crafts, outdoor games, and nature walks. In afterschool programs, I assisted with homework, provided mentorship, and facilitated enrichment activities, learning the importance of patience, organization, and effective communication. Additionally, I frequently helped family and friends with childcare, which taught me flexibility and the importance of building supportive relationships.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing a variety of activities with children that support their growth and keep them engaged. Here are some of my favorites:
Arts and Crafts: I enjoy setting up painting and drawing sessions, or even fun DIY projects. It’s great seeing kids express their creativity and work on their fine motor skills.
Outdoor Games and Sports: Playing soccer, tag, or organizing relay races is a blast. It gets the kids moving, helps them stay fit, and teaches them about teamwork and sportsmanship.
Nature Walks and Exploration: Taking kids on nature walks or exploring parks is wonderful. They get to learn about the environment, observe wildlife, and just enjoy being outside.
Science Experiments: Doing simple science experiments, like making a volcano with baking soda and vinegar, is a lot of fun. It introduces kids to science in a hands-on and exciting way.
Music and Dance: Singing songs, playing instruments, and dancing is always a hit. It helps kids develop a sense of rhythm and coordination.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is about creating a safe, nurturing environment where children thrive. It involves engaging them in stimulating activities tailored to their interests, building meaningful relationships based on trust and communication, and remaining flexible in the face of challenges. It's a deeply rewarding role that offers opportunities for personal and professional growth, as nannies witness the wonder of childhood and make a lasting impact on young lives.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Brooklyn, NY: Marseline B.
My name is Marseline Blackwood. I’m 18 years old and I’m originally from Jamaica. I’ve always been really good with kids and they’ve always gravitated to me for some reason which I love if i’m being honest. I enjoy being able to see how their little minds work and how their personalities blossom over time. Each child is unique and have different needs so overtime i have learnt how to observe what they like, what they don’t like, how they socialize and most importantly their interests. In doing this, I get the opportunity to tailor activities to their needs and interests as well as creating a personalized and engaging environment for each child I care for. It’s all about building a relationship with them and just having fun plus it’s always good to see them smile and express themselves freely. Having a nurturing and safe environment to just be is a key part in their development and I’m so grateful i can provide that and just be apart of their journey. Sooooo yeah that’s me :)
