More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of experience caring for children ranging from newborns to middle school age. I began babysitting for family members and family friends, and through their recommendations, I was trusted to care for children from other families, including nannying for local teachers. In high school, I volunteered with children with special needs, where I learned the importance of patience, adaptability, and creating an inclusive environment. I also volunteered in a gym daycare, supervising and engaging children through play, crafts, and age-appropriate activities. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide safe, attentive, and compassionate care while building positive relationships with both children and parents.
I’m comfortable assisting with homework, preparing simple meals, keeping children engaged in fun and educational activities, following household routines, and communicating with parents to ensure their children receive the best possible care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment where children can learn, play, and simply be themselves. Some of my favorite activities include going on walks around the neighborhood, playing in the backyard or at the park, coloring, arts and crafts, reading stories, watching age-appropriate movies or educational videos, and interacting with them by asking questions and discussing what we’re watching. I also enjoy helping with homework, studying, and making learning fun through games and creative activities.
Every child has a unique personality, so I love getting to know their interests and imagination. Whether that means hosting a pretend tea party, racing toy cars, building with blocks, playing board games, dancing, or creating imaginative adventures, I’m happy to join in and make sure they feel seen, encouraged, and have fun. My goal is to create meaningful experiences while ensuring each child feels safe, supported, and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience volunteering with children with special needs during high school, where I learned the importance of patience, understanding, flexibility, and meeting each child where they are. Every child is unique, and I believe in creating a calm, encouraging, and supportive environment that helps them feel safe, respected, and included.
I understand the importance of following each family’s routines, communication style, and care preferences. I’m happy to learn about your child’s individual needs, interests, and accommodations so I can provide care that is consistent, compassionate, and tailored to them. My goal is to build trust with both children and parents while ensuring every child feels valued, understood, and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories was during Thanksgiving when a child and I were making a “Thankful Turkey” craft. We wrote something we were grateful for on each feather—things like toys, mom and dad, teachers, and other special people in their life.
When we reached the last feather, I told him to think extra hard about one more thing he was truly thankful for. Then, looked up at me with the sweetest smile, pointed at me, and asked how to spell my name so they could write it on the final feather.
It was such a simple moment, but it meant the world to me. Knowing that I had made a child feel safe, cared for, and important enough that they considered me someone they were grateful for was incredibly touching. Moments like that remind me why I love working with children and why I strive to make a positive impact in every family’s life.
