My favorite nanny moment was helping a young, more severe special needs child have the opportunity to go to dance class for first time. I was able to use one of my strong talents to help her and her family realize that she can do anything she sets her mind to. By the time her second dance recital came around she was able to stand on stage on her own and do her dances really well! That was after a year of her working hard and having fun in something she always loved to do, dance. One thing I remember her parents saying about it when she was first starting out was, “She is actually doing something normal and really having fun and working hard at it.” I loved hearing this because it meant they now see a whole new world of possibilities for their little girl.
