More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have previously done could volunteer work at Sunrise Community Church as well as Alive formerly Community Church teaching Biblical based messages to 1-5th graders every Sunday. In addition, I have been watching children from newborn on up since I was thirteen. I’m comfortable watching as little as one child or many children as once, and give them the attention as if you were there. I’ve raised my own daughter (age 16) successfully, and she’s so smart, (due to me working since birth, she’ll be graduating high school with college credits at the age of 17.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing age appropriate games and play with each child/children. I love being outside, one with nature and exploring, but I also love doing crafts and building forts, baking, and creating with the little ones inside.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Two things, the first is being a great listener. Picking up verbal and non-verbal cues. Always being present, and just understanding “God’s Principle of Individuality”, that no two children are alike, and neither are their personalities. Being an identical twin I know a thing or two about being different but alike. We looked the same but had completely different personalities. That’s why it’s so important to understand it when your child speaks to you from very early on and differentiate between their different cries. Secondly, I think it’s also important to have compassion, because sometimes they can’t communicate or
articulate in words what they’re thinking or feeling and so they have a meltdown, and in those times you have to give them the words, or teach them what they’re feeling.
