I also have 4 years of experience as an after-school teacher for kids ages 4-14.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing games with the kiddos, whether it’s outdoors (with a classic game of tag/chase or making nature meals) or indoors (making crafts, I love a good game of Barbie/Cars, or just entertaining myself by watching them play their games on their devices). I usually may come up with a fun new game or activity to do if things feel repetitive. Overall, it’s always fun to contribute to them getting a happy childhood experience!

SAFETY, it’s important to pay attention, monitor the kid's activities, and communicate to the child about what’s okay to do and not okay to do, gently. For me, entertaining and interacting with the kids ALSO allows me to keep an eye on them to monitor their behaviors, ensure their safety, and maintain transparency in our nanny-to-kid relationship.

A funny, heart-warming common occurrence with kids and me is that after I care for them, the kids tend to always be excited for me to care for them again and may ask about me! This is likely because I am very interactive and present during my care, and I truly aid in making sure they're having fun.
