Is being considerate and patient. I think kids are smart and have a completely different way of thinking that we adults can’t understand as they think without limits. Nanny’s must be understanding and able to take on challenge with a smile despite being frustrated by certain behaviors.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I taught one of my younger kids how to read after his parents had professed he struggled with recognizing even the letter A. He proudly reads words we’ve learned together all the time and if he forgets begs me to “tell me the trick”
