I grew up helping raise my younger sister with Down Syndrome, so I am familiar with the special care and needs of children that have special needs. I have also volunteered at multiple facilities for children with special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when a girl that I cared for needed some extra courage to go and try out for the volleyball team at her school. We worked tirelessly everyday after school to make sure her confidence was up and that she was prepared for tryouts. When tryouts came, she made the team and she scored the game winning point during her first game! Her family and I were all so proud!
