I have a special needs niece that I have helped take care of most of her life. I was her respite caretaker when I lived near her in CA. I just had her with me for several weeks this summer to help my sister with her. She is now in her 30's and loves to come spend time with me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I haven't done nanny work before but recently, I flew home and saw my 5 year old twin nephews. I hadn't seen them for a couple years so they didn't remember me. I showed them a picture from 2 years prior and one of them said, "You look older now". I love the words that come out of the mouths of babes. They can be so cute.
