More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been with the same family for two years but with my daughter in school I am looking for something closer to my home. I would prefer to care for 1-2 children in my own home (I am not licensed) but if you are not comfortable with that I will need to bring my daughter with me. I do also have 1 year experience working at Kindercare, a childcare center, specializing in infants and toddlers. I also help out at my church’s nursery and have been babysitting since I was 16. And now I am a mother to a 3 year old. I have been CPR and first aid trained in the past but have not renewed it recently.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For infants I enjoy interacting with them by singing songs and talking to them.
For toddlers, I’ve enjoyed reading books, singing songs, finding fun events to go to, and helping them learn.
For Kids 5+ I like to do crafts with them, read, play outside, and anything of their interest.
My daughter and I really enjoy being on the move, going to the zoo, library, Blanford Nature center and more!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part for me is doing all that I can to help a child grow and develop new skills they’ll need. Creating trust and friendship to help the child and I connect, is also important. I would love to find a family that would become like family.
My experience with special needs children...
My daughter had quite a bit of health complications for first 9 1/2 months of her life, including being on oxygen support. I would not say she is special needs but I do understand to some degree the difficulty of having to care for a child with extra needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite things about caring for children is watching them hit important milestones such as an infant rolling over or sitting for the first time. I get so excited to see toddlers start to talk and how curious they are about the world!
