Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor activities I enjoy are drawing, painting, crafts, playing with toys, treasure hunts, listening to music, dancing, and reading.
Some outdoor activities I enjoy are going for walks, going to the park, playing in the grass, drawing with chalk, blowing bubbles, jump-roping and riding bikes.
I am a firm believer that children should spend more time outside playing and exploring, rather than inside on devices.

My experience with special needs children...
I have extensive experience with special needs & differently abled children. I have worked with children with autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, motor/speech apraxia, adhd, and epilepsy. I am CPR and first aid certified.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A favorite nanny moment of mine, was watching a young boy with speech apraxia use sign language for the first time. He had been working on learning sign language with me for about four months with small signs of progress, out of no where, he signed his first word. The look on his face after he was finally able to communicate something with me, is a look I will never forget. He was so relieved and proud of himself. It is one of my favorite memories.
Another one of my favorite moments as a nanny was chasing butterflies around the backyard during spring time. I was running around with her, watching her jump and skip carefree. She would point out butterflies she thought were beautiful and I would take a picture so we could draw them later. We would spend our afternoons in the sun eating snacks and talking about what we would look like if we were butterflies. One of my favorite things about this line of work is getting to watch kids be kids; happy, joyous, silly.
