A little bit about me

Hi!! My name is Jenna. I’m currently looking for a new fresh start and full time work. I really love the city of Santa Cruz as I’ve been visiting consistently for a while now, (I currently live in the Sacramento area). I’ve loved going to the beach, dog parks, and overall exploring new areas out by the coast. I have been a full time house/petsitter since 2018. I love working around animals and I want to start watching kids again too. I have a lot of love to give and I would work best with a family I could eventually be close to! Being a nanny would fit my personality type in a lot of ways. In terms of experience I’ve worked/babysat for age ranges from 4-teens my whole life since maybe I was 10 years old. I want to find a live-in situation where I have an organized schedule I can abide to and help around the house. Outdoor: I love swimming, going to parks, museums, jungle gyms, beaches, light trails, fishing, dog parks, shopping, and overall exploring.

Indoor: I gravitate towards crafts, making things together, art, I can play video-games or board games, karaoke, dress-up, reading, movies, gardening, animal care, and more!

The most important part about being a nanny...

There is a lot of importances on being a nanny, first is open communication with all legal guardians and being on the same page. I want to not only care for kids happiness, but the parents too! I know how hard it is to feel like your doing all that you can do as a parent, but have to go to work and take care of more responsibilities. I want to be able to make a positive difference in everyone’s life that I’m associated with and it starts with helping those that need it. Being with kids comes easy to me and is also fun! I know it makes a huge difference for everyone involved and overall that’s the most important thing about this job position- to me.

My experience with special needs children...

Growing up in elementary school-highschool I helped out peers of special needs all the time. So I’m up for helping all sorts of kids who need care! What ever it is I’m here with open arms and a open heart <3

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is overall being there for kids who need companionship and more confidence in this loud, huge, judgemental, and sometimes scary world. I enjoy working with diverse personalities and teaching kids that they are cool in their own special way despite feeling different than their peers. When I’m hanging out with kids, I feel like I make a positive difference in their lives and nothing beats that!
