A little bit about me

Hello! I graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor's in Social Work in 2018. I’m currently a part time nanny for two young girls two days a week usually Tuesday and Friday but flexible. In my personal time I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my friends and family, attend sporting events, and trying new experiences! I have 7 years' experience including babysitting, coaching, nannying, mentoring, carrying for children with social/emotional and developmental needs. I completed an internship in an elementary school which provided me with valuable insight about childhood development and understanding emotional needs. I believe my combination of professional education and experience as well as personal experience with nannying, allows me to gain a full understanding of finding and supporting each child's individual needs. More About Me

I worked with teenagers and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a day program setting. I also worked with adolescent with severe mental health disorders in a residential setting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going for walks, playgrounds, zoos, mall, beach, picnics, museums, children play places such as kid city. Indoor activities such as crafts, puzzles, or whatever imaginative game that can be created!

The most important part about being a nanny...

After nannying for an almost two year old for three months she was finally able to transition from mom to me whenever mom had to leave the house. For months she would cry hysterically whenever mom would leave no matter what we would do. After working closely with mom providing interventions and soothing techniques, she went to me with ease, looked at mom and said "bye momma!" With a huge smile on her face. It made me feel accomplished that I was able to provide her comfort and security
