A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Jennifer Laudano I am a former teacher and have taught grades PreK-5th including ESE. I have also worked at Primrose Preschool from infant room to after school program. I absolutely love teaching and caring for children. I feel each child is unique and love finding out their strengths and interests to help them grow. I enjoy not just supervising but hopefully engaging in meaningful play or activities. If parents request I can work on their child's social emotional, communication, and or basic academic skills. I am available full-time until the new school year August 10th and have reliable transportation. I'm open to lighthouse work and meal prep even grocery shopping if that would assist the family. I adore pets and also love doing simple crafts and art projects. I do have a minor knee issue that would prevent me from fast running or perhaps taking children to a water park but regular playground and activities are fine. 😃 Thanks for your consideration and time.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taught for over 25 years in both public and private school. Almost 10 years were with students that had special needs. I love all ages including infants to about 10 years old. I have also been a director at primrose preschool and a curriculum coordinator for another preschool. Absolutely love teaching and caring for young children. I have a great deal of medical knowledge and I have cared for students requiring a feeding tube and am very familiar with children suffering from seizures. I love to sing and dance and be silly even come with my own puppets if you would like. 😃 My two boys are now 20 and 23-year-old. I have lived in the Orlando area for almost 30 years now.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing, singing, dancing, and exploring with children. I enjoy going to the playground or playing ball in the yard.

Safety safety safety 👍 then of course fun engaging play. Making sure the child feels safe and comfortable

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked as an ESE teacher for Orange county public schools for over 6 years. From pre-k to 5th grade students with many different exceptionalities. I loved working in the medically fragile room so I'm comfortable around children with medical needs. To be very honest I am an adult with ADD and have cared for children with ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome.... I like to focus on the children's abilities and furthering their strengths.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was a former nanny I had the pleasure of watching twin 2 year olds and a newborn. Loved when the little boy Benjamin was telling his new baby sister to make sure she listened to the story that I was reading. 🥰
