I was an ‘assistant’ in a first grade classroom on Fridays when I was in eighth grade.

I loved dancing with my 2-3 year olds at the daycare I worked at, but I loved reading to the kids, as well. I’m fond of sing-a-longs, too, since I know several songs from My Little Pony by heart.

Becoming a safe-person for a child. There can never be too many of those.
My experience with special needs children...
I didn’t have much experience, but at my daycare there was a very sweet special needs boy that not many people had the patience for. I was one of the select few who took the time to play with him and talk to him. He’s a very smart boy, and I’m still in contact with his mother.
