Hi!
My name is Jessaire Sagapolutele, but I go by Jess. I love working with kids of all ages! I’m an aunt to a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old, and I often babysit them when my sister has plans. I also spent a year as a teacher aide at Glenfair Elementary, supporting kids from kindergarten to 5th grade.

Currently, I work full-time as a security guard and am pursuing my online bachelor’s in Public Health. I recently earned my associate’s degree in Liberal Arts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I find that making sure the child feels safe around me is one of the importance of being a nanny. Being their friend is also what matters most. I may not be a mother but I truly understand a parent’s feelings of wanting their child to be safe and secured. I would want that for my own if I had as well. I’ll love your child as my own and I would make sure they’re protected and loved under my care<3

My experience with special needs children...

I have an 8 year old cousin who is autistic and non verbal. There are days where he’ll have his tantrums but he’s such a sweet kid. He loves McDonald’s nuggets and that’s the only thing he’ll eat. You can try giving him something else but he won’t eat it. He has a specific routine which helped me understand more of what he likes to do and eat. He may be non verbal but he understands fully and he’ll find ways to communicate with you and show you what he wants.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is when kids ask me if I have kids of my own haha. It’s a question that I always come across throughout my experience working with children. I’m a team aunty mommy, I have two beautiful nieces that I would tend to when my sister is busy. They’ll call me aunty but my 6 year old niece says she looks up to me as her big sister mainly because I give out that laid back vibe haha.
