Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a camp theatre teacher for the last four years! This means I usually spend about eight hours a day, five days a week working with kids! I'm able to provide them with emotional support as well as tools for cognitive and social development.
I've also worked as an extended stay babysitter, meaning I spend most of the week with the kids I watch taking care of most of their needs including food, hygiene, potty training, health etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time with the kiddos outside! I grew up in Colorado so spending time outdoors is in my nature (no pun intended)! Especially living here in Boston, sometimes our time outside can be limited so I really value spending time in the sun (or rain or snow).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Providing a comfortable, challenging, and positive space to grow. It's hard for children to adjust to a nanny. A nanny is not a parent and I get that. However, spending so much time with a kid, it is important that they feel not only feel they can be themselves, but that they also feel comfortable enough to explore their world and discover themselves.

I have worked with special needs children in an academic setting, providing them with extra support in classes and in their day to day school schedules.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when a girl I was watching learned how to do a cartwheel. We had been working on it for a good few weeks and out of nowhere she landed one perfectly. You've never seen so much joy on anyones face!
