-Interning as a middle school mentor at an after school program in Tempe AZ (Aug 2019-Dec 2019)
-Student teaching for a semester in a 6th grade classroom in Gilbert ( Jan 2021- April 2021)
-Student teaching online for a 3rd grade classroom for one semester (Aug 2020-Dec 2020)

-going to the park/ having them explore and observe nature!

-coloring/ doing arts and crafts

-teaching them how to play instruments! I have played the piano for over 3 years, and the guitar for 2 years

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part for me is education! Whether that be traditional education such as school subjects, or general every day life skills such as how to be courageous, how to ride a bike, how to get a long with others, etc. I think that teaching children the basics of life and over all education is very important

The most important part about being a nanny...

I'm new at being a nanny, so my favorite moment working at a preschool/daycare had to be when our day care kids (ages 6-12) had to make the switch to online classes in march 2020 because of the pandemic. Although this was a tough time for all of us, I was being pulled out of the preschool classroom to help students with their homework and the new concepts they were learning. It was a lot to take on, but being their "second teacher" at the daycare I loved teaching students new concepts and it makes me happy when they understand what I teach them!
