Hello I’m Jessica I’m from,and currently just moved back , to Doylestown, Pa. I have over 10 years of experience with children in a variety of settings and different age groups. I’ve interned at the Buck County Youth Center , nannied in New York City for 3 busy kids and was a live in nanny for a 2 year old in Cape Cod. I consider myself to be well versed in the childcare field and I throughly enjoy seeing the world through the eyes of a child , they are so insightful and creative ! More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered with New. York Care’s , big brother/ big sister , and various other organizations through out my life. I also did an internship at the Bucks County Youth Center where I was able to work in a residential housing unit of adjudicated youth. The main primary focus of this program is to help at risk youth. This program works through therapy, counseling, schooling, art and community based programs , as well as building confidence and forming strong relationships, some of these children have never had any of those things and It was a really rewarding experience for me , one I will never forget. I have been a live in full time nanny , as well as an after school / summer childcare provider.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My favorite activities are going on hikes/ walks , riding bikes , exploring nature, collecting shells in summer , leaves in fall, swimming, dancing, reading. I always like to find local story times and fun activities. In my area a I frequent peace valley park, Tabora farms , Wissahickon Park, and similar places like that. I love doing arts and crafts especially for holidays / birthdays I am a huge DIY enthusiast so that may be why. I also like cooking with kids , I think
It helps with many things, motor skills , following directions, clean up. I like
Incorporating fun and learning into everyday life skills to keep kids interested and learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

the most important part is creating positive environment for all children. One that is filled with learning , adventure, laughs , and cuddles. I firmly believe in letting kids be kids so playing , reading , music , and Nature are important to me. Also respecting the child’s feelings and nurturing creativity and healthy risk taking are big ones for me. I am a huge proponent of positive reinforcement and treating children as equals as much as possible ( age appropriate). I feel that harbors the right environment needed to build confidence and form positive relationships.
