I believe a nanny helps children to become independent and helps them continue to develop in their own unique personalities. My hope was for them to grow into confident young men and women (and many of them have!).

I was previously a nanny for a family of 5, one of which was a sweet young lady with down syndrome. We still visit occasionally to this day via phone calls.

One of the young girls I nannied for lovingly called me "CA" while she was learning to to talk, because Jessica was too hard to say. She still continued to call me CA as she grew older, and her mother also continued to call me CA. We still receive Christmas cards from them addressed to CA!
