"Joann is very dependable and reliable. She is great about good communication. She has always been very flexible with times and hours and accommodating our changing schedule.
Joann is organized and plans well, mapping out activities; (crafts, games, projects, and academic learning work).
She got to know each of my kids and tailored activities and events or projects for each of them.
She was good with setting expectations and guidelines with clear boundaries and rules in line with our values and priorities throughout various stages of preschool and elementary years. For several years, early on, Joann kept detailed notes for us on the days or hours she was with our kids to give us a picture of how they spent the days and how naps, meals and activities went which was very helpful when our kids where very young.
I always felt comfortable knowing my children where safe, engaged and well cared for with Joann."

"We have had such a wonderful experience with Miss Joann! She is kind, dependable, punctual, and genuinely enjoys interacting with our kids. One of the things we appreciate most is how engaged she is with them. She frequently brings new toys, crafts, and activities to keep things fresh, fun, and educational.
Joann is also great about following our routines and instructions, which is especially important to us when we like certain things done a particular way. She is very attentive, and patient. Our kids are always happy, well-behaved, and in a great mood when we come home, which says so much.
Joann is still our nanny and very much loved by our family, but she currently has availability for additional hours with another family. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and engaged nanny!"

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked in church nurseries ages 9 months to 13 years. Babysitting at different homes, hotels, weddings, and holidays. I've worked as a nanny from 60 hours to as little as 12 hours a week. I've taken on more responsibilities, watering plants, vacuuming, dusting, groceries, and preparation of meals. I've also focused on the child(ren) and their needs for the day.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I find what the child(ren) enjoy or/and are interested in. One child loved Thomas the Tank engine. So we went to the train museum, rode Thomas when he came to town and made a train pizza. One child loved miniature doll houses. So we visited tiny town, made tiny plates and bowls from clay, and had a mini tea party.
For younger children we do sensory bins, play dough, and finger painting with edible food.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe my job is to make my employer's home life easier. The more I can do the more free time the family has to be a family. A child is only a child once. Home life should be free of stress and happy memories.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I asked a two year old if she had ants in her pants. She looked in her pants and said "no."
A one year old kept asking me something in gibberish. I told him yes, not understanding what he was saying. He was very happy. That should have been the warning sign. He pulled a chair over to the counter and climbed on both and reached inside the cabinet to get a glass cup. I learned a valuable lesson. Never say yes if you don't understand the question.
