Hi, my name is Joanna! I am 19 years old. I have a passion for working with children, and have nearly my whole life. In the future, I plan on working as a child advocacy lawyer. Until then, I am in college working towards my Bachelor and looking for some work as a babysitter/nanny.

Some of my hobbies include art, cooking, baking, and writing. I love to do fun art projects with the kids when working--I have experience in doing that from my prior job as a nursery attendant.

I do have experience working with special needs children as a Behavior Tutor, both low and high functioning.

I'm completely ready for some good cleaning, cooking, and driving children to and from locations they need to be.

While I am not CPR or First Aid certified, I am completely willing to get those certifications if it makes the parent more comfortable.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a Nursery Attendant for around 4 years, usually watching multiple children at a time.

I also worked as a Behavior Tutor for TCOE, which consisted of working with Special needs children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing small art activities that the kids can participate in, to make little gifts for mom or dad. Going to the park or playing outside is fun as well. Or even playing pretend.

For older kids, I am completely ready to help with homework or assignments they may need assistance with for school.

My experience with special needs children...

I have almost a year of experience with special needs children. Before moving to Chico to pursue college, I worked as a Behavior Tutor for TCOE. This job essentially had me playing games and giving fun tasks to the child, but also correcting any behaviors that might arrive with positive reinforcement.
