A little bit about me

I grew up as the oldest of three siblings. As such, family friends often had me watch younger siblings and friends. I have also work for teachers watching their kids and their friends’ kids.
I have worked with kids as a swim instructor and assistant since I was 17. Before that I was a lifeguard so I have held CPR and First Aid certifications in the past.
I am studying to be a teacher, but I have been a nanny to help pay my bills since November. I was working with a wonderful toddler for six months but parental employment changed.
I have been vaccinated since March 2021 and am willing to work with families about safety precautions.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a nanny and long term babysittter for almost a year. I have had babysitting experience since my early teenage years. I also taught and helped teach YMCA swim lessons and worked with all ages of kids there.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing arts and craft activities, holding dance parties, and going for walks/playing outside as the weather permits!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being present with the kid(s). Playing with them, engaging them in activities, and throwing in some fun educational twists in there as well. I believe kids are the future and as such we need to raise them up and teach them how to be good people.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with babysitting kids with special needs, however it has not been a long term commitment previously. I am eager to learn and assist in whatever ways possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are when the kids realize I've come back. I interview with the parents and most kids attach to me right away. And then I come over a couple of times and we play and have fun and it's great. But when they realize I'm coming back on a regular basis I love seeing their faces light up when I show up every morning.
