Hello my Name is Ms. Jody! I am a mom of 4, Grandmother to 1 (now 16), widowed & I work full time at FedEx (20 years). I operated a FT In-home daycare for 17 years when my children were young, & I still have tons of energy to share. I like to stay active & busy, and miss my babies!

Sports, reading, crafts, cooking & baking, decorating, dancing, bike -riding, walking, swimming, playground activities. Fun games and and creative activities that appeal to their talents and interests. I love being outside and going on outings.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being attentive and present; patient and understanding. Of course keeping the children safe and working together with their parents following guidelines and instructions is key as their caretaker. But caring for children is about letting them be kids; keeping positive open communications with them; listening to them & forgiving the mistakes; guiding and loving them through the growing pains; encouraging them to be their best selves; and building confidence and security in their lives. We are only in their lives for such a short time - childhood. It needs to be a positive experience. Children make adults better people. They teach us as much as we try to teach them. They are authentic, loving, entertaining, and can surely make your heart smile! Its a hard job, but so rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a family with 3 children in my charge for 14 years all from infant to school age.
The middle child "Connor" around 6years old at the time decided to tell his Mom on the car ride home that "I taught him everything he knows""...His Mother pressed him with , "Oh really?... and what has she taught you?" He proceeded to say, "She taught me how to ride a 2 wheel bike; tie my shoes; and feed a baby." LOL! His mom was not at all upset, as she took it very well with Love. Those were some of the things we had done together and I loved him for sharing the heartfelt memories and some things he was proud to have learned while in my care! He is now a successful RN studying to be a PA. I love the things children have to say!
