My name is Anjanelle, I am a college student currently at Suffolk County Community College, seeking to pursue nursing. I love to work with children; I worked as a swim instructor for children for about a year, with a variety of different age groups from as young as 6m-13 years old. My most recent job experience is as an assistant preschool/daycare teacher. I worked mostly with 3 and 4 year olds, but do have experience with infants, 18m, and 2 year olds. I worked at this job for over a year. I have learned many important factors of childcare. I learned different ways to approach conflict based on the child's individual responses, proper ways to physically handle a child (supporting the neck of an infant, dangers of nursemaid's elbow, shaken baby syndrome and SIDS) as well as other skills.
