I have attended a sleep away camp in Pennsylvania since I was five years old which has made my lifestyle very open and diverse. I then continued on to become a counselor at the camp for three years and lived with and cared for as well as taught different skills to children from the ages of 6-17. I have also babysat for a family for about eight years whenever I was needed on occasion, as well as other loving families until they felt that there was no longer a need for a nanny. In addition I have worked in a Day Care/Pre-School as a teacher/teacher assistant for about a year. Even though I am only 4'9 children seem to see that as a comfort rather than intimidation. However, this does not mean that I am not strict when needed and do not enforce the rules. I am a very bubbly fun loving individual that can always make people laugh, especially children. I am also trustworthy and am easy to go to or talk to with a problem. I am extremely responsible, dependable and never break plans when scheduled, although if needed I do so in advance. I am extremely creative and full of energy. Another fun fact about me is that ever since I attended my sleep away camp at the age of five I was lucky enough to be engaged in a circus program which I later taught tasks to children (such as riding the unicycle and flying on the trapeze) which my sister now runs it. No matter what age, I would find a fun loving way to interact and engage with the children, both entertaining and educational.

I was most recently employed at a developmental disabilities school, working full-time for 3 years as a teacher's assistant with 4-5 year old autistic children. I have previously worked in a public school as an after school care taker for approximately one year and I have also coached volleyball and basketball to children from ages 8-14 for my former school district.

I am a very responsible and reliable individual. I always have the childrens best interested and put their safety first in whatever they do. I have worked with a wide range of kids of all different personalities, even a child with autism once, so it was never a dull moment. I strongly believe I work very well with children, hence why I am going into the Pediatric medical field. I have experience driving children to school and sporting events, or even going to get ice-cream with them or bringing them to the park. I really love working with children and believe it is an important aspect to not only be there but to interact with that child; as how their day was and just talk to them. That to me, is what builds trust between a "stranger" and that child they are watching.

I come from a very warm and caring family. I have a total of 4 siblings, ages 13, 11, 7, 5, and 2, all of which I continue to babysit for. I feel blessed everyday I've had the chance to watch them grow into the people they've become and to be a part of that process is amazing. I also have several cousins living locally and numerous neighborhood families whom I grew up watching. I've babysat for families big and small (1 to 4 kids) and I've sat for them once in a while, a few times a week as well as everyday, 9-5 during one summer.
