Relevant experience where I also cared for children were…I have many experiences with child care. My first was when I graduated high school and got a job at a day care for children with special needs. That was for a year. Then I nannied for a friend of mine for a few months. as well as a day care job
Activities I enjoy doing with children…swimming, park, walks, outdoor activities as well as indoor. I an very extra when it comes to planning run things to do.
The most important part about being a nanny…It's important to see it as more than just a job. You have to have love and passion for child care. The key to being a great nanny is loving and caring for the family and home as if it were your own.
My experience with special needs children…I was a one on one for a little boy that became my world. I loved him so much and he showed me a lot. I taught him how to write, say number, and colors, but other than me teaching him. He taught me. He taught me to be patient, to be firm, to love what I do.
My favorite nanny moment…I don't have a favorite. But any moment where the child I'm caring for learns or achieves something knew is what makes me realize why I do what I do.
