More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a teacher for a little over three years thus far. Surviving in an outdoor classroom, early preschool classroom and I am now in my second year of TK teaching!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

All things outdoor are always on my list of to-dos! In any position, I value the importance of fresh air, a little dirt and some sticky mud. But don't let that deter you, I'll do the indoor chores too! I love a squeaky clean little one after a long day of learning and playing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It is absolutely essential that a nanny forms a personal connection with every child just as a teacher might. This connection will be the bases of a safe and communicative relationship that will result in a fun, engaging environment while still maintaining a sense of respect and appreciation for one another.

My experience with special needs children...

Before my teaching days, I worked as a camp counselor at a special needs camp! We did anything and everything and I fell in love with the caring, goofy and loving spirits of these truly spectacular individuals.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are definitely the moments of wonder and joy every child feels when discovering something new and exciting. I also love the silly little comments that are always being said, the comments that make you miss being young without a care in the world!

Hi! My name is Alexis and I have been working with kids through friends and family since I was 10 years old and I am now currently 22! When I was in high school, I took childhood development my junior and senior year and throughout my life I've just always loved children even though I haven't worked professional settings. I do love babysitting and taking care of kids and just making sure they're safe while the parents work. I am the oldest of three sisters and I have many cousins so I have my fair share of dealing with all ages, dealing with autistic kids and so on and so forth! I'm also a huge animal lover, and so that wouldn't be a problem if pets were involved as well.
