More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have volunteered working with kids at FLOC and paid brand ambassador events, and for some who were referred to me. Many years ago I worked part-time for 2 different families until I was injured (outside of those jobs) and could no longer work. I ended up in a wheelchair temporarily. Also, I have volunteered with elderly.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy traveling, sporting events, concerts, award shows, Disney World, Las Vegas & other kid friendly destinations that do NOT require climbing, especially mountains, running or jumping due to my disability from a past injury. But, I promise I am a joy to be around.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My priorities are the kids happiness, trust, peace, , security, listening to their concerns, making sure they feel loved because their feelings matter.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Many years ago I took then 8 year young Nylla to Disney World and she told me that was the best day of her life.
Another time was when I was referred by a friend of my daughter to babysit a little girl name Anahli for 2 days, we went to the park, out to eat at 3 different food places and the museum, cooked, read books, talked, listened to music, danced, and sang. She tried to put rollers in my hair and screamed "YOU'RE BALD HEADED!! THAT'S WHY THE ROLLERS WON'T STAY IN YOUR HAIR." I laughed so hard that I was crying until I couldn't laugh anymore.
Another time, I gave a lady I met name Digna a break and kept her son Jeremiah and her car for the day. Jeremiah and I attended a event in the Washington and Shepherd area where his face was painted, and he and other kids painted pictures and played together. We visited The Menil Collection and other kid friendly events. Jeremiah said he had a great time and cried when it was time for him to go home. He has twin sisters now.
