I have a very large family and was pretty much a designated babysitter. I would also babysit for family friends when needed.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'd do whatever the child would like to do (as long as it's appropriate). As much as I would enjoy taking them outside as possible or taking them to a nearby park, I would refrain from that somewhat because we are in a pandemic. I would also help with schooling and homework (if asked).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Keeping the child happy while teaching them to be respectful. I would be the person to watch your child while you're gone, I would be watching them grow as well; making sure they grow up to be kind, graceful, helpful, etc. is important to me. It not only provides help on the parents and I but also the child when they're grown.
My experience with special needs children...
None but I'm a fast learner for any adjustments I would need to make.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There was a child I had babysat for a family friend (he was a one year old) and I had found out that he was quite fond of music. He wiggled his body and laughed to the music. It's something small but he looked like the happiest baby and it reminded me of how much I liked to work with kids and people.
