Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny in Brazil for 3 years, I looked after two brothers, aged 2 and 5.
I came to the US as an au pair for 1 year and 6 months, taking care of an 8-year-old autistic boy and, in another family, a 13-year-old teenager.
I'm currently babysitting an 8-year-old boy and a girl who has just turned 5.

My favorite nanny moment is when I see a child truly open up and feel at ease around me. It often starts with small things, like them sharing a story from their day or asking me to play their favorite game. The most special moments, though, are when they express their feelings openly, like saying, ‘I love you,’ or giving a big hug out of the blue. Those moments remind me how meaningful this job is and how important it is to create a nurturing and loving environment. It’s incredibly rewarding to know I’ve earned their trust and love.
