I have so many. Meeting the twins for the first time is one of my favorites. It was an instant bond with them. They were 3 months old when I started caring for them full time. Also recently the girl I’ve been nannying for over 3 years asked me if I have a job. I told her my job is to be a mom. I’m a mom to my kids and to her when her parents are at work.

At the Lyons library, I helped plan and execute events such as Lego night, and author visits, which taught me how to create and organize fun activities that kids actually enjoy. I have also worked more directly with kids at Mathnasium where I was a math tutor for middle and elementary school-aged children. In my opinion, almost nothing is as difficult as trying to get tired middle schoolers to do math after the school day has ended, but it gave me important and necessary childcare skills. I know how to get kids to listen to me, even if they're being difficult or having a rough day, and I also have practice with helping multiple kids at once. Overall, I love working with children, and I would be an excellent nanny!
