Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy when kids involve me in their unstructured play and helping them to learn and explore their interests more. I have lots of Pinterest boards of fun games, activities, and arts and crafts for all ages! My son and I are doing a "1000 books in a year" challenge, so we are big readers in our house. I love helping kids learn to read and love books! I also like to get out of the house and go to the park/playground.

The most important part about being a nanny, in my opinion, is making sure that each child has the space to explore the world, while also knowing how loved and cared for he or she is.
My experience with special needs children...
Some of my favorite work experiences have been with special needs children. They truly are such a light to our world. I have experience with special needs children as young as toddlers, all the way up to adults. I've worked as a nanny in a household with a child with Autism, a paraprofessional in special needs classrooms, and as a substitute teacher in classrooms with special needs children. Additionally, I have worked as a job coach for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was watching the child I worked with learn to communicate, first in sign language and then with words! It was so fun and also incredibly rewarding to see his hard work pay off.
