Connection and Trust. The ultimate goal is to keep the child safe, help the child grow, love themselves, and have fun! Ensuring trust is helping the child know in times of needing help, or times of danger they feel comfortable and calm knowing they can turn to me to protect and help. Building connections helps bring down walls and grows comfortability.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with 2 company’s whose main roles are working with children who need medical attention and care. And children with behavioral issues and or on the Autism spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Seeing the first moment of bonding with a child. Every child is different and I understand i’m someone new into their world. That moment when they make that specific smile or twinkle in their eyes and laugh. It’s almost like I can hear the “I kinda like this girl” haha Or when I’m interacting with a child and get told “They normally don’t do this with people!” It makes my heart smile realizing I’m building trust, connection, and bonding with said child!
