A little bit about me

I've been the designated babysitter for friends and family since about 12 years old. I truly enjoy being around children, their imagination and excitement for the world is uplifting! Throughout my school years, my family cared for 8 foster kids (not at the same time) so I was used to being around younger children. After a while, I started babysitting for a couple of my mom's friends and it sparked something, I love being around kids! Of course the fun activities catch my attention more; but I also love doing the simple things like helping with homework, organizing toys, or making meals! If you have pets, that's no problem, I love them too! I'm always willing to do a meet and greet before we commit to anything, I understand how stressful leaving your children with a stranger can be. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been around children all my life! My family started fostering when I was 12 years old, and as you can assume that made me babysitter most of the time! Since then, we’ve had a total of 8 kids in our care, I helped with homework, dinner, and occasionally bedtime. When we stopped doing foster care, I started babysitting for my mom’s friends (two families). I was the first stranger for them to leave their children with, and it’s become a regular thing! One of the children is on the spectrum, which leads to my next point; a few years ago I volunteered at a summer camp for special needs kids and I loved it! Each child has their own needs and we learned how to accommodate them. We also spent the summer going to the pool, bowling alley, park, and movie theater!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going to the park, going on walks, feeding ducks; and simple indoor activities like crafts, baking, board games, or building forts!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring that both the parents and children are safe and comfortable at all times. It can be extremely nerve wracking to leave your littles with a stranger, but I promise to treat them as my own. I will send you regular pictures/updates of your children as the day goes on to maintain that trust as well.

My experience with special needs children...

Some children need a little extra care and that’s okay! I spent the summer a few years ago volunteering at “Partners N Pals” summer camp program at the Arc and I loved it! I worked with many different children with varying needs, likes/dislikes, and sensory issues. I work best with children with autism and/or ADHD, but I’m always willing to learn about you and your child!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is definitely seeing how excited they get to see me! It sounds a little cheesy, but seeing their faces light up makes MY face light up! Also knowing the parents will be able to enjoy some kid-free time whether it’s for a night out, work, or just running some errands! I’m always willing to tidy up the house while you are away as well.
