A little bit about me

I have been working in the childcare field for 7 years. I started as an assistant teacher and worked my way up to lead and am currently a certified and working assistant director/lead teacher. I would like to take up a part time position so I can go back to school to complete my degree and eventually explore more teaching opportunities around the world! I love working with children and am ideally looking for a part-time position doing what I love while also having availability for college classes. I am certified in cpr and first aid and have experience working with special needs children. I don't have any allergies and I love animals! Light housekeeping is fine and I can do some meal prep (though I'm not much of a cook). I put $15 as my projected pay but I plan to discuss it further as I think it depends on the number of children you need care for, needs that they have, and hours I will be needed.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been working in childcare for the past seven years. I started as an assistant teachers and quickly worked my way up to a lead position. I am now currently director certified and working as both a director and lead teacher at a small center. I'm looking to go back to school to complete my degree and explore more teach ing opportunities around the world so I'm in need of a part time position. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside together! I think getting fresh air and doing outdoor activities is really important, especially since we live in Colorado, it's the perfect place for outdoor fun. I also enjoy doing art activities with kids. I try to come up with new ideas often. Relaxing with a book is also something I'm always up for. Working on literacy skills or even just getting your child engaged in reading is important to me. If there are chores to be done, I like getting the kids involved in fun ways!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The reason I am really looking for a nannying position right now is so I can put my skill set to good use for a family that needs it. I could find a part time job at a restaurant or department store while completing my degree but I would love it if I could instead be of assistance to a family.

My experience with special needs children...

While I would not consider myself a professional caregiver for children with special needs, I have completed several classes and worked hands on with children who have been diagnosed as having special needs. I do believe that every single child is a unique individual with different strengths and weaknesses and I will work with them to the best of my ability.
