The most crucial aspect of my job as a caretaker to me is that the children I care for feel SAFE, and loved, and trust me. I want them to be able to confide in me if they need to, no matter what age group.

I worked with a family friend closely for about a month, she is the same age as i am (21) and needed help using the bathroom and staying close by at all times, none of which was an issue. please ask me about this experience, i loved abby!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have TONS. I love to write about my memories with my kiddos and have plenty of pictures, too. (Parents have given permission). Some of my most favorites are when my kiddos have come up to me just to tell me and show me the things they are excited about. I encourage independence with help when they need it. ("Ms. Kate, I took off my diaper, look!") It brings me so much joy to see what they are interested in, and how I can engage in it, too.
