"Kaitlyn started with us when we had our second baby girl. I was going back to work and we had decided to pull our 2 yr old (A) out of daycare and have a nanny come in and care for her and our new baby girl (L) at the same time.
She had just started her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and I was STRESSED about leaving both of my babies with someone so young!! All of my fears were completely unfounded!! Kaitlyn was AMAZING! She ended up working for us for two years before I became a SAHM.
A and Kaitlyn would have the most fun adventures and she always kept me updated on baby L's developmental milestones. I loved coming home and knowing that my sweet girls were completely and utterly taken care of and loved during the day while I was at work. Even though she is no longer our nanny, she is still a valuable member of our family and we love her.

I have also worked as a substitute teacher in an elementary school setting for a year. Throughout my undergraduate time, I was a volunteer at the children's hospital as well as served as a mentor for youth who were performing below grade level.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to paint and do crafts with children! Additionally, I think that it is so important to spend time outside when possible so I try to take children to the park or on walks whenever the weather permits. Children learn through exploration so I love to provide safe, educational activities for the kids to learn through 'doing.'
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is having a strong connection with the parents and the children. I want the parents to understand that I am there to help them and that I hold respect for them. I also love being able to make connections with the children and learning all of their favorite things to do. Being a nanny is a really personal job considering you are entering into someone's home and life, I think it is important for everyone to respect and value each other!
My experience with special needs children...
I worked as a tutor for a kindergartener who had dyslexia while they went through online school. I also have a master's degree in special education and am still going to school with the ultimate goal of becoming a school psychologist for children with special needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when my most recent baby that I nannied for began walking. I worked for them since she was 3 months old so being able to see all of her developmental skills develop was amazing. I also loved that I was able to take a video and record that precious moment for the parents to cherish forever.
