More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have two nephews ages 2 & 6 who I frequently care for while they are visiting and itās given me a deeper understanding of how to properly care for children of the two age ranges. Itās also given me an idea of how to juggle caring for two children at once, attending to their unique needs while making the environment fun!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to provide learning activities that align with the parentās goals for their child, and help give their children different ways to learn through play. I find that giving the child a variety of age-appropriate toys/activities allows them to feel in control of their environment, so I will offer them a few different ones at a time that will accomplish the same purpose. For example, letting a child pick WHICH book to read instead of a book vs another object allows me to ensure we get reading time and eliminate distractions.
I also, of course, love just playing! Whether they enjoy make-believe, dancing or crafts, I believe play is just as important as learning so I make sure there is plenty of both.

My experience with special needs children...
My 6 year old nephew, who I occasionally watch, has autism. While I do not have experience caring for other special needs children, caring for him in the way Iāve learned he needs has taught me that understanding what kind of care he needs and when is really key to caring for him, and I believe the same can be said for other special needs children. I am open to learning the specific needs of your child so I can provide the absolute best care for them in they ways they need!
The most important part about being a nanny...
M favorite nanny moments always happen during the quiet moments. The sense of accomplishment you feel after finally getting the baby to sleep, or the sweet first-time hugs initiated by them, or the way their eyes light up as we both witness their breakthrough learning moment. Those moment are what fill my heart with joy and solidify my love for childcare.
