A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Kaleta. I have been in childcare industry for 8 years. While in school for Early Childhood Education, I worked at a small daycare where I cared for infants and toddlers, which eventually led me to working in a preschool setting. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with children of all ages, but I've found my true passion lies in working with infants and toddlers. I started as an assistant teacher in infant classroom and worked my way up to becoming a lead infant/toddler teacher. I have a deep love for teaching and nurturing young children, and I'm very excited to continue this journey supporting, teaching and growing alongside your children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the years, I've cared for children in both daycare an preschool settings. While in school I worked with infants and toddlers feeding, diapering, and supporting daily routines. As a lead teacher, I created a safe, nurturing environment and planned activities that met each children's needs. I also worked closely with families to support their child's growth.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun and educational activities that support their growth and development. Some of my favorite activities include sensory play, such as water tables, sand, and textured materials which helps stimulate curiosity and exploration.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, loving environment where children feel supported, valued, and free to grow.

My experience with special needs children...

I have the opportunity to work with children with special needs throughout my time in childcare. This includes supporting children with developmental delays, speech and language challenges, and sensory sensitivities. I've learned to adapt activities to meet individuals needs, provide a calm and supportive environment and work closely with families and specialists to ensure each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny- like moments gap-while I was babysitting regularly for a family. I had been caring for their toddler for few months, and one day the child ran up to me, gave me a big hug and said my name for the first time. It was such a sweet and genuine moment that reminds me how much trust and connection can grow between a caregiver and a child. Moments like that make all the hard work so rewarding.

Tori J. - Seeking Work in Atlanta

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Atlanta, GA: Tori J.

I’m a recent college graduate with a degree in Biology, currently pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences. During the week, I work as a dental assistant, gaining valuable hands-on experience as I prepare to apply to dental school, with the goal of specializing in pediatric dentistry.
From 2014 to 2024, I taught competitive dance and led classes for girls ages 5 to 18 at my mother’s dance studio. This role sparked my passion for working with children and helped me develop strong communication and leadership skills.
I’ve also worked as a summer camp instructor and served as a STEM educator for underprivileged students in the Atlanta Public Schools system, where I led science-based activities for students needing extra academic support.
These experiences have shaped me into a patient, compassionate, and engaging educator. I’m deeply committed to helping children grow and thrive — and I look forward to continuing that dedication through a career in pediatric dentistry.
