A little bit about me

My name is Kaley Williams and energy mine as well be my middle name! I am a young college student (psychology major) and professional dancer/choreographer. I have hopes of becoming a dancing children's therapist. Sounds a little crazy huh? Well, my mission to give children an outlet for expression in a positive, encouraging, fun artistic setting. I believe art is an amazing form of expression and can help kids get through tough adolescent issues they might face. From drawing, to singing, dancing, acting, I believe art expression is so important in any child's development. I've been a part time caretaker of two young children for the past two years and not only do I feel as though I impacted their growth, they've impacted mine and gave me new ways to look at life. I will always put the safety and happiness of the child before anything else. I believe life is short and gets more stressful the older you get. So children deserve to stay young innocent and happy.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I work with children in several different ways. Being a choreographer I've gotten the opportunity to teach ballet at Broadway bound kids, an art program for children based in new York city. I've also been the dance instructor for a high school all girls dance team in the Bronx. Being able to teach children and teens has given me an even stronger belief that creativity and art shine so bright. It has taught me the value of patience and understanding. I am an energetic, joyful woman and its hard to not have fun and just feel happy around children. I've been a big sister for a very long time so working with children isn't new to me. For the last two years I've had the pleasure of being the nanny to a very special 3yr old girl, Avianna. Just seeing how smart she is at such a young age shows how important it is to instill core values and positive energy into kids from early on to help blossom their development

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is trust. To have a good relationship and connection with the family you are working with. For the parents to be able to feel comfortable and solid with leaving their child in your care. To trust that the parent will give you the tools and blessing to take care of their children in a safe, loving environment. I don't have any kids myself yet but, I know my biggest concern would be the people I have around my child and knowing they will be safe, attended to, and ultimately happy with the people I choose to have around them.

I have not worked with special needs children before but I am open to learning how to care for them

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments would have to include dancing with my kids. Coming up with a cute routine and just having a blast messing it up! I also would have to say a birthday I shared with my 3yr girl I was babysitting. We didn't do anything too extravagant but had a blast just going out to eat and taking her to lego land. I got to learn more about what she liked by taking her places we usually don't go on a regular day.
