I think just being that safe space for the kids while their parents are away. It’s rewarding to help families that need it because I remember being that kid. Also I think it is important that the children you nanny have that like big sister bond with you so they are comfortable!

One of my favorite moments was preparing breakfast, and the older of the 3 kids she had just turned 4, wanted to pour her own milk into her cereal! I helped her with the process and had her watch me first, and she did great but the bowl tipped over and we all just laughed at it and tried again! She got it the next time!
