Hello, I'm Karla:)
I have 35 years of experience as a nursing assistant, nanny, and grandma. I am very responsible and dependable,
I have Infant/Child/Adult CPR/AED/First Aid training, COVID immunizations, a college degree, special needs and behavior modification experience. I was a home daycare owner in the 90s and have been working as an in-home care nursing assistant and nanny for the last 30 years.
I am healthy, nurturing, empathetic, and love working with children and babies. I use creative child-guidance activities to help infants reach their milestone goals, and promote early childhood learning. We'll have fun with sing-a-longs, dancing, stories, colors, numbers, and arts and crafts for children of all ages!
I also love animals, so no charge for pet care!

I have been strictly a nanny for the last 3 years. I worked for a home healthcare agency as an in-home nursing assistant and caregiver for children and adults for over 30 years, and in a special needs facility for 6 years. In the past, I owned a children's daycare business in my home for 5 years, while my children were of pre-school age. I do have a college degree, Adult, Child, Infant CPR/First Aid/AED card as well.
I am a healthy, strong, 62-year-old grandmother with a youthful spirit and a great sense of humor. I relate well with children of all ages!
I love working with infants and helping them reach their milestones.

I enjoy arts and crafts, games, child guidance activities, singing, dancing, homework help, outdoor activities, playing with animals, and more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A nanny must have empathy and intuition. I have a very good sense of what children/people need in varying situations. I can "read the room" and adjust accordingly.
I find that humor, positive diversion and empathy help when children have "big feelings"

My name, which is Karla, is not easily pronunced by a child. I've been called many different variations of my name but the one that had the whole family laughing was "Ka-wa-wa". This child was probably the funniest little girl I have ever cared for. Truly unique, lol!
